We have all seen our Property Values decline significantly over the last few years and simultaneously, most taxing authorities have increased the Appraised and/or Assessed Values for residential and commercial properties.  YOU CAN APPEAL THESE INCREASES!

Most taxing authorities begin by determining the estimate of property value.  This process is typically deemed the "Appraised Value" of the property.  The individual government entities then apply a statutory percentage to the appraisal and generate a "Assessed Value" which is what your taxes are based on.  Inspite of the decrease in actual market value, many property owners have seem an increase in the value of their home as it relates to their property taxes.
